06 Apr Real Wedding: Aloës and Dewald – Laurent at Lourensford, Somerset West
On a gloriously mellow day in autumn, Aloës and Dewald tied the knot at the beautiful Lourensford Estate in Somerset West.
Aloës is a local girl, and she met her Mr Right at nearby Stellenbosch University while they were both still students there. She confessed that she was smitten the very first time she saw this dashing guy!
The fun-loving couple decided to keep their big day quite simple. They opted for an ethereal white setting softened with lace and a multitude of pastel-coloured flowers, fruit and a lilac wedding cake. Aloes’s custom-made dress also reflected an elegant simplicity that was just gorgeous.
I loved the attention to detail which made their event memorable – like personalised menus on each plate, the paddle-pop cards which detailed the run of events for the day, and the little jam jars inviting guests “to spread the love”!
