Enchanted … dreamy .. a fairy tale. That is what Stella always imagined her wedding day to be. And that is just exactly how it turned out. Of course, stepping out in a breathtaking Vera Wang creation goes a long way to cast the kind of spell we all dream of. But many hours of planning and personal effort created a hundred little captivating touches that made their day so unique and memorable.
It started with the “Save the Day” card detailing their history as a couple, an early hint of the magic that awaited on the day. Imagine: handmade hessian bags stuffed with heart shaped confetti punched from antique books about love. Handmade programs with a flower attached to each. Guest favours of delectable macaroons accompanied by love quotes personally selected by Stella. Napkins imprinted with the words “Best Day Ever”. The list continues …
Hailing from Germany, Stella met dashing Robin in Australia, and love love affair continued over several years and across a few continents, culminating in the heartwarming union on Valentines Day at Lanzerac Estate in sunny South Africa.
Gentle, pastel coloured flowers in shades of mint, blush pink and coral, formed a counterpoint to the rustic vases and buckets in which they were displayed. Parasols and fans lent a Victorian charm to the setting and kept the guests cool during the garden ceremony. When night fell, strings of fairy lights and Chinese lanterns provided sparkle, while a large LOVE sign served as constant reminder to all what the day was really about.
We were responsible for the wedding coordination and were assisted by Okasie for the flowers and furniture, Absolutely Loved Photography was behind the camera lens and Seven Swans produced the gorgeous stationery.
