19 Feb We all Share our Roots in Africa – Wedding
We celebrate our beautiful and diverse country with this styled wedding shoot. We had such fun doing this African inspired wedding shoot – from the stunning traditional blooms to the gorgeous beadwork cake… it was a beautiful collaboration.
South Africa is an eclectic mix of cultures and people. We aimed to incorporate the best that each culture has to offer in a way that best depicts our colourful nation.
The colour palette was particularly inspired by the African Sunset, thus, we incorporated shades of yellow, peach and warm pink. We then highlighted these colours with small touches of stronger colours like cherry pink and burnt orange. Lastly, we added some natural elements into the mix such as leather, linen and worn wood. All these elements added a glorious African feel to the whole shoot.
Building on our African Theme the wedding cake was inspired by traditional African Beadwork, whitewashed calabash containers with an African inspired pattern were placed on the tables and a variety of South African blooms were used to show off our stunning vegetation.
Our models were draped in beautiful handcrafted wooden jewellery. Once more adding an emphasis on the beautiful natural African elements. We had a custom-made bead and flower necklace made for our bride. We felt a deep connection with our African roots by the end of the shoot.
Thanks to our wonderful service providers.
