It is said that French is the language of love, a fitting adage for French lovebirds Sophie and Julien. Both winemakers, the couple chose the Newton Johnson Estate as the location for their wedding, a small and intimate event that radiated a loving warmth.
The ceremony was delightfully elegant, as was the feast that followed it. The dinner consisted of multiple courses, each paired with one South African wine and one French wine. Small pebbles adorned the tables as name placards, a reminder of the romantic tale of Pebble, the first wine that Sophie and Julien created after they met.
